Ingrid Bachmann works across a range of materials, techniques and ideas. Her work tends to be less about invention than observationand amplification. She often work in existing sites, with found or discarded objects, as well as life forms such as humans, hermitcrabs and tectonic plates.
She is currently an Associate Professor at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec and is the Director of the Institute of Everyday Life.
